Ogden Bolten Jr. of US in 1895.

Then in 1896, the electric bike was first displayed commercially

by Humber (Bicycle Manufacturer).

In 1996, the first electric scooter for customer purchase was produced by Peugeot.

electric motor and a battery. At the beginning of 2000, the reason for its fall was the

lead-acid battery as it was heavy, power storage and charging time. Then the

lead battery was replaced with a lithium battery.

In between 2016 to 2019, the price of the basic electric scooter was reduced by half

the original price. This helped in the growth of its market and is estimated to reach

$22.1 billion by 2025.

Now, the government of various countries of the world are taking steps to increase the

usage of electric scooter and cars. Even the Indian government has invested 230 billion

rupees in August 2012 for producing 6 million of these vehicles by the end of 2020.

The two main obstacles of electric scooters are:

1) Speed: It’s not an option for speed lovers. The slow speed of the scooter keeps many
youngsters away from it.

2) Charging: The number of the charging station is less than fuel stations. Moreover,

when fuel filling-refiling time is compared to scooter charging time, we find charging time is
more than the fuel filling time.

Many companies producing electric scooter are working to overcome all the disadvantages.

So, in the upcoming time, the electric scooter will find an important place in the advance

market. Moreover, it will have a great impact on the environment. Take a step towards
